The #StockMarket #System is a #Scam! #Greed is #Destroying the #World! #VOTE!
The Stock Market is a scam - over valued corporations playing with billions like monopoly game money. We need to rid our world of the Wall Street model and go back to organic free market capitalism - as in natural growth - grow naturally - create products on demand using technology and when you can't keep up with it - that's where you stop and make a nice living - even get rich but not disgusting ridiculously and artificially rich based on speculation and musical chairs of a wall street stock market system no one really understands and computers only make worse - a system guaranteed to crash on a regular basis as it has since it started a few hundred years ago - thus always leaving the economic mess to the tax payers to bail out and pay for with real hard earned money based on real measurable labor energy put in. The GDP growth/scaling model by any means necessary is no longer sustainable or desirable for a more equitable, just, and egalitarian ecologically healthy world that those intelligent Christians among us wish for. The Socialist model of economics is much closer to what Christ taught than is the current American dog eat dog, greed rules, capitalist pig system that has ruled out country since Reagan & Regan sold us out to the corporations back in the 1980s. Now we are finally getting proofs in the form of the latest Paradise tax evasion docs and the Panama papers of the once considered conspiracy theory of the multi-national corporation executives ruling our planet in secret meetings to make trade deals etc. and store their tax evaded fake fortunes in off shore banks hidden in shell companies. From Trump and members of his crooked administration to CEO MArk Zuckerberg of Facebook, TIm Rice of Apple to the Queen of England - they are all unpatriotic greedy people who do not pay their fair share of taxes made in our safe countries built on the blood, sweat and tears of 99% of average folks - and thus the greedy 1% risk bringing our countries to ruination via crumbling infrastructure and a much needed and expensive switch over to clean energy before the full negative effects of fossil fuel caused global warming threaten to disrupt every country in the world with never seen before refugee crisis from huge sea level rise, which will surely lead to major civil wars. The whole system is not holistic on any level and the corporations have hijacked/stolen our democracies almost completely - where you have sleazy strange bed buddies like Putin's and Trump's creepy cronies working us all like the distracted, stupid consumer puppets we have become to increase their fortunes and power on the world stage. #Contemporary #Pop #Feminists are Fragmented and Sad
I recently read a book review on two popular white privileged feminst writers and here's my reaction I posted elsewhere in social media...
Who cares - sex is overrated and occupies way too much much energy and resources on every level and does have major moral, health and environmental risks. Was all the blood, sweat and tears experienced by the early suffragettes and progressive men so women could vote done so women could be as promiscuous as men? Sad if true. Read a review recently of a new Feminist book by a Ms Filipovic - pushing a freedom of sex centered feminism - which in the age of Internet porno being tied with violent video games as the most popular downloads on the world wide web - has been accomplished - bravo - recent STDs reports highest rates ever - abortions by the millions and plenty of unwanted orphans - geez - this is the best that modern privileged white publishers can produce as far as female intellectuals? Pathetic. I am sure some of the top leader suffragettes are turning over in their graves. The 1960s was revolutionary on many levels and broke down many walls and taboos but we as a society seem to have thrown out the baby with the bath water as far as core values and respect for the act of sex as a sacred act that carries heavy consequences when treated lightly like an addiction to shallow pleasure that it has become. I feel like MS Solnit, another older and wiser feminist author has more wisdom in questioning the whole concept of happiness as a core goal of life - often via superficial, materialist (not sustainable) and dangerous selfish endeavors. God bless this human made mess - and finally two wrongs do not make anything right - so engaging in bad behaviors just because men have for ions - does not make it right. Why not be the better gender, keep what makes you better already and create new paradigms of better and more spiritual behaviors - always felt this would be the flow of history but seeing war hawks like Thatcher and Hillary and women cage fighters pummel each other and other women want to fight on the front lines in stupid wars - starting to lessen the high pedestal I once put women on because I had a super Mom with high level integrity, class and kindness.

Reaction to #CharlieRose Interview with World's 2 Richest Men - #BillGates & #WarrenBuffet

I have watched Mr Rose on and off for 20+ years now. After last night's typical fluff interview with two of the richest men in the world - I will take another long if permanent break. Charlie has the gift of gab but has always shied away from the real deal questions - always on the surface and polite and never digs deep for the truth. Most likely a combo of his polite southern gentlemen roots and the fact that he is a millionaire now and wants to keep it that way. It's also a generational thing. He, like his two .01% rich guests are just plain out of touch with around 85% of We the People of the USA who are just a couple of paychecks from poverty and are not doing as well as our parents who lived during a golden age of American history post WW II when incomes and the cost of living were in some kind of balance. This all started to end in the 1980s when President Ronald Reagan and Treasure Secretary Donald Regan (weird name correlation) sold out our country to the corporations of which Buffet and Gates have benefited greatly as in the lowest and irresponsible (during 2 of longest wars put on our deficit to the tune of 6 trillion) capital gains tax of 15% as compared to 1950s last decent Republican President Eisenhower's 90% - to become the richest men in the planet based on stock market monopoly money speculation. Firstly - God bless them both for their great philanthropic work around the world - although I worry about Gates and testing corporations taking over our school systems which is happening. Whereas Gates was unapologetic about his ridiculous wealth - At least Buffet still seems to have a little empathy for the average worker in his opinions on fair taxes and some kind of government income for displaced workers that are part of the "roadkill" of world trade and old and unable to learn new skills - and at least acknowledged the insane income discrepancies between the top 1% an the rest of us. One very important issue where these men are totally out of touch with reality is the unsustainable nature of the GDP growth index used as a religious measurement of economic health. It is actually quite the opposite - where the growth by any means necessary international trade and GDPs are what is destroying the planet's environment and is only truly enjoyed by the top 1% who reap all the reward off the blood, sweat and tears = labor of the majority of humans on the planet who are all sick and tired of being sick and tired while the 1% rakes in the profits and has quadrupled their wealth over the last 40 years - again, since the corporate take over of America. What good is all this wealth anyway if the water and air is all poisoned and everyone is getting cancer? When Buffet was content with promoting 2% GDP growth and clueless Mr Rose was pushing for 3-4% - Buffet said - this 2% will be plenty and "more stuff" to be made and sold - as if more stuff is what humans need - especially in the west where we already have too much stuff and 90% of it ends up in toxic landfills - like all the planned obsolescence gadgets that need to be replaced every few years - that of course is never brought up by Rose to one of the biggest polluters in the world - Gates with his Microsoft software in every PC on the planet. These are real deal issues that can no longer be ignored by the older generation that thinks more stuff is going to solve all our problems when in reality making more unnecessary and often distracting stuff - and all the toxic resources involved, is one of the biggest problems/issues facing humanity in the 21st century. Crazy Times in the #USA! #Impeach #Trump before it too Late!
Like the actual real majority of Americans, I was freaked out by Trump becoming our president. Living in NYC for half my life - we New Yorker's knew how stupid and nasty he was from his many write ups in the local NYC newspapers for his shady business dealings, multiple bankruptcies and his many gold digger girlfriends, wives and children from all over the world.
The rest of America however, only knew him from his crappy, but highly rated reality show The Apprentice - mostly for his famous "You're Fired" meme at the end of every show, which was said with his own weird and annoying New York accent.
He fooled millions with his promises to clear out the swamp in DC - when he actually filled it up more than ever with Wall Street insiders and pro-fossil fuel climate change deniers. He hired Rex Tillerson - ex-CEO of Exxon - the biggest Oil corporation in the world that is under investigation by NY state Attorney General for covering up the fact that their own scientists knew that global warming was happening and would cause major damage world wide all the way back in 1979! His whole cabinet are morons who suck butt to the major evil corporations destroying our world like fossil fuels (oil & coal), Big Pharma and chemical giants like Monsanto, Dow & Dupont.
Trump is a pathological liar and full on narcissistic sociopath. He is not a billionaire and he has creepy business dealings with Russian oligarch banksters - which is why he is now in deep shit for possible collusion during the presidential election and will most likely be impeached or he will resign like Nixon did 40 years ago.
I thought GW Bush was the worst president ever but he was not even as bad and dangerous as this idiot is. Trump is very immature and impulsive - like a child and this latest escalation with North Korea is a classic tactic to distract from his own demise as President based on the ongoing multiple investigations about his possible collusion with Putin and Russia in rigging the election in his favor via the internet/cyber espionage. There is a lot of smoke and only a matter of time before Special Investigator and ex FBI head Muller exposes the fire and brings the truth to light. Hopefully sooner than later as millions of us are concerned about a nuclear war scenario/nightmare where he takes down all of us with him based on the fact that he now realizes that he may go to prison for being a traitor to our country and Democratic system.
His diehard Republican constituents are sticking by him in spite of all the negative evidence coming out on a regular basis for the 6 months since he has occupied the White House. Amazing how desperate these folks seem to back such a inept moron. They are rightly fed up with politicians in general but to choose him as their leader is just ignorant and pathetic. There is a desperation among many conservative whites in America that fear the day when they are no longer the majority and may not always have the white privilege they have benefited from since the founding of this country.
Trump has not kept any of his promises other than total deregulation of corporate industry and has set back our country 50 years of any gains made via pollution laws and regulations. He does not believe climate change is real and he has hired stooges of the oil corporations to run departments like the EPA that are supposed to protect us from the very evil corporate executives that EPA head Scott Pruitt is serving! They are all corporate puppets - more so than ever before! Clear the swamp? Gimme a break!
His whole family are greedy and shifty New York sharks that are 1% wannabees - but ironically enough - they will be billionaires by the time they get kicked out of the White House! The Trumps could care less about our country - all they care about is building their brand and getting richer. This is not so unusual but they are so uneducated and unknowledgeable on all important world subject matters and governing in general - that we the people of America are in big trouble.
Finally - I am no fan of VP Pence but he seems at least not to be insane - somewhat more level headed than Trump - I and millions of other intelligent and aware citizens will be able to sleep a little better at night when Trump is impeached and gone and Pence is sworn in. Or maybe a miracle will happen and the whole presidential election cycle will be declared invalid based on Russian interference and a new election will take place - but this is a long shot but one can dream! The we can get Democratic Socialist Senator Sanders like millions (13+) of us wanted and finally really progress as a nation.
Anyhow, if we can just make it through this crazy time without a nuclear war with North Korea - or whoever until Donald Trump is purged from our democratic checks and balances system - and some semblance of decor and civility returns to our top office - the presidency of the United States of America - I will be thankful to God. Argument for #Monogamy
This is a response to a facebook post from a popular underground culture writer promoting tired ideas of free sex (love?)...
Geez - Let it go! This was already experimented with throughout history - most recently the 1960s with so called 'free love' - that has only led to tons of unwanted pregnancies, abortions, STDs (along w/ no sex ed) and broken hearts. While it's true that our consciousness (brains) are battling millions of years of multiple partners - this is primitive pre-enlightened behavior that was mostly propagated based upon the physical dominance of men, regardless of what women thought. Some will say that women too think often about sex - which may be true but use Beyonce as a modern example of a full on sexually liberated feminist who exploits her sexuality in her overall performer presentation - (which I don't like - bad influence on young women and men - Aretha & Whitney never had to go down on their knees to gain respect for great singing) yet it was Jay-Z that cheated. Women can control themselves better than men - high levels of testosterone surely play a role in this bad promiscuous behavior. Bad for several reasons but here are what I think are the important ones - mainly - people are not objects just to have sex with - they/we are complex miracles with real emotions. Attachments are natural and inevitable in this most sacred of acts that can lead to creation in the form of new human beings. Another consideration is that one can try to justify this promisquity as normal based on evolution - but others have tried to justify other bad behaviors such as slavery and control of women with the same argument - the 'it's always been like this so this is okay' argument - Wrong! It's called evolution of ideas/consciousness and making progress as sentient beings. We must learn that love is the key, lock and the door to this debate. Not sex - the Hindus believe that eventually one needs to get over this primitive drive to procreate in later life - the final stage known as Moksha (same as Nirvana) where one tries to purify their spirit by letting go of earthly desires and reconnect with our highest Godhead potential. Finally it's hard enough to have one really good relationship/connection with a mate never mind trying to bring more into the picture. Monogamy is the cosmic challenge. The benefits of pure Love for those who make it work are what we all wish for deep down in our inner most souls.

#Letter To #Inventor of #Gene #Editing #Technology #CRISPR - WHY?
Dear Professor Doudna,
It's
surreal to me that an individual like yourself can alter the entire
world so there is no escape - no where to run - no where to hide for the
other 7-8 billion of us - never mind all the other millions of innocent
conscious creatures that inhabit the earth.You and your co-inventor of the CRISPR technique have become part of a very small club of science inventors who have created things that can destroy human kind and all of nature as we know it. Einstein, Oppenheimer, Haber and a few others are part of this small infamous group of irresponsible and immature, myopic human scientists. Yet both of you will probably win the Noble prize in time - which shows where our mixed up values are at as a myopic tech based secular society.
Einstein's
theories and Oppenheimer's Manhattan Project allowed for the splitting
of the atom and unleashing it's potential destructive abilities in the
form of nuclear bombs. With Hitler's rising and his own great scientists
working on it - it's somewhat understandable. But even Nuclear energy
turned out to be a bummer with radioactive waste nobody wants in their
backyard and today it still leaks and poisons the Pacific Ocean (&
us via toxic radiated seafood etc.) in Fukushima, Japan post-disaster 5
years ago. This nuclear threat and the universal sub-conscious stress it
causes will always hang over humanity like the sword of Damocles. No
good has come from the splitting the atom and please do not use the less
CO2 argument - though true - yet if we had switched to solar, wind and
other renewables 50 years ago - the world would be a much better,
healthier place - but the evil fossil fuel corporations will not allow
us to progress (as Big Pharma will pervert and control CRISPR soon
enough) at the peril of all humanity's healthy future - including their
own families = insanity - because they knew all along as Exxon's own
scientists informed them of impending Global Warming crisis 35 years ago
- and this will end up in Supreme Court and or a congressional hearings
case in due course but justice may be too late, unfortunately for the
world. Radiation treatment for cancer patients is another argument but
at least 80% of cancers would not exist if not for the reckless,

To
me, people like you are way more dangerous than the most wanted
terrorists in the world. They can only negatively affect thousands - and
over time they will disappear or die and nature and people will recover
- but as you say yourself, your CRISPR technology has the evil power of
altering all of nature forever - for better and worse and the worse
will surely outweigh the better as our brief and myopic history of irresponsible science and innovation has already shown in a short blink of time (2 hundred years vs 2-300,000) in our human evolution story.
Since
you live and work near fantastic nature on the West Coast - I suggest
you go for a walk at Big Sur and walk among the great Sequoias and try
hard to commune with nature - meditate under the trees and feel their
energy and living consciousness (see PBS link doc). I pray you spend the
rest of your life alerting people to the dangers of what you have
created - as did Guilt ridden Einstein and Oppenheimer in regards to
Nuclear proliferation. Most uninformed sheeple
can't be bothered (average citizens) and won't even care until it
disrupts their quality of life, which it surely will sooner than later.

am not anti-science - but I am a Luddite because technology is
recklessly racing ahead on all fronts and we humans still have a
primitive and violent fear based Paleolithic cave man core mind set -
not a good mix - at all! We need to put the breaks on all technologies

10 Point Plan to Fix our US Democracy ASAP - Before it's Too Late!
Dear Citizens of America - Lend me you ears! Our Democratic nation is withering away on the vine and becoming more and more of an oligarchy. Instead of preaching to the knowledgeable choir about all the problems - I will instead focus on solutions.
1) The congress must not only overturn the horrible Citizen's United and McCutcheon decisions by the worst Supreme Court but also put back or replace the Voter Rights Act that was also dismantled by this same lame court - WE THE PEOPLE OF THE USA HAVE TO GET CORPORATE AND PRIVATE BIG MONEY $$$ SUPER PACS OUT OF OUR ELECTION SYSTEM! Or else it's all over folks! Can you say Plutocracy?
2) Create a nationwide Voting day so no one has an excuse not to vote
3) Have people automatically registered to vote when they apply for State ID/drivers license
4) Make voting mandatory like in other countries like Australia - with a $ penalty for not casting a vote - especially considering our dismal average voter turn outs - 50% for presidential & 35% for midterms and even less for local and state! Pathetic!
5) Change Districting laws so they are fair and square and no more Gerrymandering! (big case up soon before this anti-Democratic hegemonic Supreme Court - will most likely blow it, but we can hope they do the right thing to make some amends for the the past horrible decisions!)
6) Have a Paper Trail! Too many shenanigans in recent elections with faulty or questionable computer systems - there has to be a paper trail for recounts when necessary!
7) Create a Federal Voter Oversight Committee to secure our technical voting apparatus from outside sabotage/interference from autocratic, anti-democratic nations like Russia.
8) Get rid of the antiquated Electoral system and let it be based on more voters participating - just the popular vote - one person - one vote = True Representative Democracy.
9) Allow more parties to participate in all debates! Have federal sponsored bipartisan committee created to run debates and take debates away from private biased corporations who have a 2 party lock down of sell out puppet candidates!
10) No congressperson or high level federal employee may accept a Lobbying position for at least 10 years after they exit the government - current 2 year limit is a joke. Additionally increase all pay for our leaders - across the board - to encourage integrity.
Nothing will change for the better unless we get big money - special interests out of our election system. Integrity is at an all time low in our government - local, state and federal. Most are on the take as in quid-pro-quo politics as usual and it's creating a bi-polar, stratified society where the 1% possess all the wealth and the rest of us are peasants, 2 paychecks from destitution.
If things don't change quickly - I am afraid of what will happen. America has a violent history and now there are 300 million guns floating around and a lot of frustrated, itchy trigger fingers within the struggling masses. Nothing will get better or progress until we fix our Democracy to ensure the best and brightest leaders with high levels of integrity will lead our country to our true and great potential!
Trying to accomplish any important legislation at this point in time is like putting the cart before the horse - not happening! May God Bless America and allow citizens to progress and achieve a good life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!

Argument for Slowing Down Science From Facebook Posts Based on Singularity Prediction

Can't stand this guy - read his books decades ago and the singularity keeps getting pushed up years and years - point is when the cyborgs take over he will be dead. He is a myopic, boring atheist that thinks humans can improve upon nature that God created and took 4 billion years of hyper-complex inter connected ecosytems to evolve - only to have humans ruin in within 100 years of so called progress. So sick of the secular extremism that rules the world. For every great thing that science has accomplished - it has caused as much and even more destruction - can you say Fukishima radiation as in millions and millions of tons of nuclear waste being created every day for 5 years now? Or how about the 80,000 untested toxic chemicals created since WWII - can you say skyrocketing cancer and chronic illness rates? Yes - it is causation - if you are honest with yourself. Science has a very dark side that no one seems to talk about - as long as we have our comfy pads - and computers and gadgets - millions of tons of more toxic waste into landfills - 7.3 billion and counting - humans are a virus on the earth - Mother Nature is getting upset and we are over due for a huge catastrophic volcano event - that will do some serious damage - We better get it togehter asap or things are going to get real ugly - sorry to be the voice of doom but nonspiritual secular priests like this annoying Kurzweil guy really get me pissed off.

Science has saved far more lives than it has harmed. Until we came up with a vaccine, smallpox was killing a million people a year. Our farming technology feeds billions. Lifespans are longer than they've ever been. Women used to die in childbirth regularly. If I remember correctly, something like 1 in 8 women used to die in childbirth. And roughly half of all children used to die before the age of 5. Those things rarely ever happen anymore, and we can thank science.

Yes - humans like all other animals died more often before the arrogant Western post Enlightenment domination and total devastation of nature - when humans were in balance with nature for better and worse. Fear of death has not stopped it (inevitable death) from happening. Yes - half would die young but in certain parts of the world post Agriculture age - like the Mediterranean and Asia - many lived to be very old like today - diet. active lifestyle and luck of peaceful pocket of geo-politcal location etc. The majority died at 40 meme is overly used and only partially true - do the research. Everything is artificial and toxic - life is lengthened for the majority but has quality of life with so much cancer and chronic ailments and depression? And are you forgetting the military technology in the last few hundred years that has killed hundreds of millions? I am not anti-science but more for responsible, ethical and ecologically minded long view science and not for profit by any means necessary - with creepy no integrity people in lab coats doing the dirty work for corporations - which is the norm for the last 100 years - and look where this has gotten us - 6th great extinction and the impending disaster of global warming. We need to slow down and reassess what we as humans require for healthy non-toxic happiness for all humanity and all the other creatures that occupy this small planet. Be true stewards on this spacehip earth - there is no plan b and MArs is a long, long way off and will be a horrible bio-dome existence anyway - no thanks! One of my science heroes is Jonas Salk who created the Polio vaccine and gave the patent to the public - where are people of this high integrity and values nowadays? Science is only as helpful and good as the people doing it otherwise it's a scary cirlce of myopic and dangerous Dr Frankensteins - which is what we have today for the most part - I knwo there a few exceptions but they are the outliers. Fed up with Science Periodicals that never cover Negative side of Science!
No - we do not - I am going to stop following you Nautilus Magazine
- Your secular science temple worshiping articles are boring and myopic
- you never once examine the dark side of science - as in the negative
side effects of so many man made nightmares in the name of science and
so called progress - nuclear waste leaking in Fukushima - 80,000 toxic
chemicals created and used just since WWII - only 200 of which have been
tested for negative health effects - can you say cancer - which has
skyrocketed during this same time period as has heart diseases and
chronic ailments - more than correlation - obviously causation for
anyone being honest with themselves - all caused by man made toxic
pollution! Like all politicians - Most scientists have no integrity and
sell their souls to the corporations for profit driven discoveries
regardless of any long term negative side affects to the planet and all
its inhabitants. I love responsible science but I am Fed up with
periodicals like yours and Scientific American who has supported GMOs
even though there has never been a human longitudinal study done - the
sad reality is we are the experiment in the USA over the last 20 years -
like guinea pigs for Big Agra and evil chemical companies like
Monsanto. We are all going to hell in a hand-basket because of extreme
secular idiots with no common sense or long term world view. Consumerism
via hard core capitalism which poisons everything - will be humanities
undoing - as in it's already happening - we have passed the 400 ppm of
CO2 in the atmosphere for the first time in hundreds of thousands of
years! Can you say fossil fuel economy that people just accept like a
big dumb flock of sheep - including and especially the best and
brightest scientists who work for the creepy corporations that create
all the petrol based products we use and poison ourselves with every

Don't agree with all the Father's teachings especially about Pol Pot (genocide of his own people) as a respectable revolutionary and throwing out the baby (as in Jesus) with the dirty bathwater that are religious institutions. Also have issues with eating meat - even in the wild - if all 7.5 billion humans did this - all species would go extinct quickly - but otherwise excellent critique of the crappy unsustainable materialist and tech distraction based modern society we have created.
