Wow! When creepy ad execs say your company has 'no morals' - you have really scraped the bottom of the barrel! I stopped using/closed my facebook account around a year ago when these allegations first started surfing and the creepy Cambridge Analytical breech of millions of users personal info was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Our brilliant checks and balances designed Democracy is a precious experiment unprecedented in history and has no guarantee of survival if one has any understanding of human hubris and history! Thus the young, naive, greedy and foolish Zuckerberg helped an old autocratic enemy (Russia) spread disinformation and eat away at our fragile democracy and sew discontent in our already hyper polarized country. A great side affect of ridding facebook from my life is not wasting precious time scanning the same batch of old "friends" (that I really no longer have a deep connection with) kids/pet pictures and what ever cheesy touristy vacation spots they go to. I believe these social media websites do more harm than good and a lot of studies are supporting this conclusion. Last week the NYTimes reported that many of the biggest Silicon Valley execs no longer allow their own kids to do any gadget screen time. Similar to Mafia bosses who sell addictive toxic drugs to the general public but don't allow their own family to use them. Evil greed will be the end of us! God bless this human made mess!
